Dogecoin, a meme cryptocurrency and Shiba Inu rival, has topped the list of the most searched cryptocurrencies in the United States, beating out the most valuable cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum and Bitcoin, according to research conducted by The Advisor Coach, a financial advisor.
Dogecoin was the most searched cryptocurrency in October, according to the analysis of the Google Trends data, with searches for the keyword 'Dogecoin' coming from 23 states, including Illinois, Florida, Hawaii, and New Jersey. A total of 7 million searches for Dogecoin-related content were conducted.
Dogecoin (DOGE) was created as a joke by software programmers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmers in 2013, but it is no longer a joke—interest in DOGE has surpassed that of Bitcoin and Ether combined.

Dogecoin's rival Shiba Inu was the most talked cryptocurrency on Twitter in October, according to statistics acquired by ICO Analytics. The analysis firm revealed the 20 most discussed cryptocurrencies on Twitter and Shiba Inu has emerged as a clear winner, getting a 22 percent share of all crypto assets discussions on Twitter, dwarfing Ethereum (8.1%) and Bitcoin (7.2%).
Data for October by the company shows that Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), and Dogecoin (DOGE) occupied the second, third, and fourth positions in the Twitter popularity index, respectively.
