Tether (USDT) is now supported by Coinbase on Coinbase.com and in the Coinbase Android and iOS apps. Customers of Coinbase can now purchase, sell, convert, mail, receive, and store USDT. With the exception of New York State, USDT will be available in Coinbase-supported regions. Coinbase Pro also supports USDT trading.

Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin that seeks to hold the same value as the US dollar and is available on many blockchains. Tether Limited, the company behind Tether, claims to have assets that completely support each USDT. USDT is the most commonly used stablecoin in the world, with a market capitalization of over $30 billion as of 2021. Please keep in mind that Coinbase currently only supports ERC-20 USDT on the Ethereum blockchain.
